Most slot machines at online casinos are played with "coins" that have a customizeable value.

NOTE: When you start a slot machine, it is very likely to have a default coin value that is much higher than you feel comfortable wagering. ALWAYS check the slot machine coin value BEFORE you start the slot machine !

Most slot machines can be played with coins starting from 1 cent and up to 1 dollar ( £$€ ).
The coin value can often be changed by clicking on one of two arrows shown with the coin value. An arrow pointing up, will increase the value, an arrow pointing down will decrease it.

Most online casinos have limited the coin values to:
$0.01 - $0.02 - $0.05 - $0.10 - $0.25 - $0.50 - $1.00
( Please note that the $ symbol may be substituted with any currency symbol allowed by the online casino )

When you are sure that the coin value is set to the amount you want it to be, it is time to look at the paylines and coins per payline options if these are available.

The amount you bet on each spin is:
Coin value x ( Coins per payline x Paylines )
This means that if you have a $0.01 value coin, and play 1 coin on 20 paylines, you wager $0.20 per spin.
$0.01 x ( 1 x 20 ) = $0.20

It is important that you check the coins per payline and paylines value before you spin the slot machine.
By default all slot machine paylines are enabled with up to 20 coins per payline.
This means that if you open a slot machine, that has a default coin value of $0.25, with 20 paylines and a 10 coins per payline setup each spins requires $50.00.
$0.25 x ( 10 x 20 ) = $50.00
